Birddy at GLEE 2024: Connecting with Nature

This year marked a pivotal moment for Birddy as we made our debut at GLEE 2024, the UK’s premier garden and outdoor living exhibition. We were thrilled to be recognized as 1 in 5 nominees for the GLEE Exhibition New Products Awards in the Garden Supplies category, a testament to our commitment to innovation and sustainable design.

1.  Why Did We Decide to Exhibit at GLEE? What Were Our Goals?

This was the first time Birddy had exhibited at GLEE, and we came prepared with a selection of our most popular products, including the Reli Birddy Smart Bird House and Reli Birddy Smart Feeder GreenTough™. We also offered an exclusive preview of two upcoming releases: the Reli Birddy Smart Bird Cage and the Reli Birddy Smart Bird Bath. The primary goal was to demonstrate how the products now enable a deeper connection between people and nature. By participating this event, we aimed to engage with backyard lovers, bird lovers and some potential customers and highlight how technology can be harmonized with outdoor spaces to attract, observe, and support local wildlife. GLEE 2024 exceeded our expectations. Over the course of three days, we had meaningful conversations with individuals and companies from diverse backgrounds, allowing us to share our story and learn more about the evolving interests of garden and outdoor enthusiasts.

• Advanced App Features: The Birddy app brings together innovative tools like the Bird Diary, which captures bird moments to create a unique video story, and the Bird Book, a catalog with species info and bird tips for easy reference. With Chat GPT integration, users can gain insights and ask questions to learn more about their feathered visitors.

3. What’s Next for Birddy?

As we expand our lineup, we're excited to explore new ways to bring smart technology into bird care. Our research revealed that companion birds are incredibly popular, ranking just behind dogs, cats, and fish as household pets. In the U.S. alone, there are over 6.1 million pet bird owners. However, bird care is often overlooked, and many bird owners face challenges in providing consistent, reliable care for their feathered companions. Common issues include limited living space, bacterial buildup from irregular cleaning, and even missed feedings due to travel or busy schedules.

To address these issues, we’re exploring a new approach with the upcoming Reli Birddy Smart Bird Cage, designed to meet the specific needs of bird care.
